Unseen Agreements

What price would you pay for time, memory, youth, or truth? In Unseen Agreements, twelve authors explore the uncanny bargains—spoken and unspoken—that shape our lives. From contracts with archivists who harvest memories, to deals with demons, tricksters, corporations, or even time itself, each story peers into the shadows where choices carry consequences far beyond what we imagine. These tales span fantasy, science fiction, and eerie slipstream horror—but always remain deeply human. A grandmother's hidden gate, a hospice patient's impossible recovery, a legal loophole for stolen thoughts, a friendship soured into something monstrous: each story asks, What would you give up, and what would you risk, when the terms are not yours to set?Guest Editor: Lena SamsonContributing Authors:Abby Andresen Alison ColwellAndrew DunlopBella ChachaDaniel FoxElizabeth HosangJesse ScobleJohn Leahy Kathryn Riley Lynne SargentMarie-Hélène LebeaultR.P.
