Recensioner i media
'Fans of the Bagshawe sisters, Jo Rees or any of the other "bonkbuster" authors out there, you'll love Tara Hyland's debut. Its story sucks you in and keeps you hooked until the last page ... a superb read. Tara Hyland will have a great career ahead of her if this book is anything to go by!' Chick Lit Reviews .Com 'If you're anything like me and you tend to judge a book by the cover, then you're probably already in love with this book ... just stunning. The prose is rich and elegant and thus matches both the setting and the cover perfectly while it also sucks the reader in. Ms Hyland can definitely write and I'd definitely like to read more by her! ... Perfect escapism! ... a damn enjoyable and engrossing read! Really, the pages were just turning themselves and it was all over before I even knew it!' Bookalicious Ramblings .Net 'An exciting read' 4 stars, Closer 20/3 'Sex, glamour and fashion- perfect' 4 stars, The Sun 12/3 'Sparkling with Gossip Girl sizzle and Barbara Taylor Bradford melodrama' Publishers Weekly 'A sprawling tale spanning English countrysides, glittering L.A. red carpets, and chic Paris runways, Hyland's first novel intricately and effortlessly dramatizes the lives and loves of a rich and glamorous cast of characters' Booklist 'The term "page turner" was coined for this book!' Floor-to-ceiling-books.blogspot.com 'Caitlin finds herself shipped to London when her mum dies to live with her father, William Melville, head of the Melville fashion dynasty, and her unfriendly stepsisters Elizabeth and Amber. A fantastic read from debut novelist Hyland' Image Magazine (Eire) 'A modern-day Cinderella with a twist! Orphaned Caitlin finds herself in the harsh reality of boarding school where a horrific incident changes her forever. She forges a career in fashion but will her 'ugly sisters' spoil her dreams? Fast paced, drama-filled tale' Woman 'The excitement and page-turning qualities of this book took me back to blockbusters of my youth, such as Lace and Scruples. It's raunchy, moving and the fashion background is totally believable. Hyland writes so well about women's emotions and the pitfalls of life and love. Each character is well rounded and so powerful you feel you know them and understand their motivation, even when you disapprove of their actions. A great, well-written debut novel with wide appeal for all ages' LESLEY PEARSE writing in The Times
