This was a gift for my daughter's 6th birthday. She absolutely loves Marge, Jemima and Jakey and their adventures. It is a different approach to some traditional children's books which have scary or not very nice characters. All of the characters are likeable and kind. The adventures are based on the everyday and not fantasy - which is a bit of a change.
This would also be suitable for young readers to read on their own. The language is clear and concise and enough pictures to break up the text. The stories are short enough that you can read one as a bedtime story.
