Erickson Institute of Philadelphia, and co-author of the bestselling The Handbook of Hypnotic Phenomena in Psychotherapy. John also travels internationally giving highly acclaimed seminars on sport psychology to both therapists and athletes. Tim Rowan, MSW, maintained a clinical practice and held the position of Division Chair of Behavioural and Social Sciences and Professor of Human Services at Allegany College of Maryland. "Most sport psychology texts merely scratch the surface with their typical presentation of mental rehearsal, relaxation, concentration and other basic performance enhancement techniques. This work starts where all these other books leave off. The authors provide the clinician with some very powerful intervention tools and strategies for both problem solving and performance enhancement. If you're serious about developing an effective sport psychology practice, then this book and it's techniques need to be a part of your clinical armamentarium."
