Mark Goodwin is a keen mountaineer with an agricultural backgroun.d His work deals with climbing, nature, wilderness, and landscape, and of his it can be described as earthy, bizarre, often humorous, often erotic. He has published widely in literary journals, and also occasionally writes articles and reviews for Climber magazine.He received an Eric Gregory Award for his poetry in 1998, and completed an MA in Creative Writing at Nottinham Trent University in 2002. He has done a lot of work in schools and in workshops, mainly in the Midlands.
