Under the Same Sky

The book explores contemporary Chinese society and its future direction based on direct and close scrutiny. Due to its distance and independent cultural development from the West, China has been the subject of an imagined world for many Westerners. However, the visions of Cathay could not justify the shape of Chinese civilisation. Only by contacting the nation and its people directly one can better understand its cultural essence and goals of development.
