Enomwoyi Damali was born in Trinidad, but has long lived in London, where she works as an educational psychologist. Her professional experience in a highly diverse community gives authenticity and veracity to her stories of Amber Class and their ever-resourceful teacher, Mrs Adisa. Enomwoyi, whose name means "she has grace and charm", says her goal is "to help children think about and practise the personal development skills and qualities needed to live life fully and to treat each other with love and respect." She lives in south London.Ruthine Burton completed the Inaugural Pathways Into Children's Publishing in 2021. Her parents came originally from Dominica and French Guiana. She has a B.A. hons in Visual Art from the University of Wales in Aberystwyth, and also an M.Sc. in Software Engineering. She has worked as a pavement portrait artist and in the games industry. Ruthine is one of the three illustrators featured in Our Rights, edited by Jake Hope, and also illustrator of Spin! 10 Exciting New Voices in Poetry. She lives in south west London.
