Kaye is an award-winning writer of fiction and non-fiction children's picture books and short stories. Many of her picture books have won or been shortlisted for awards such as the CBCA Book Awards, Speech Pathology Australia Book Awards, NSW Premier's History Awards, West Australian Young Readers' Book Awards and the Children's Peace Literature Award. Her work has been published in Australia and internationally. One of Kaye's passions is sharing stories about remarkable people, just like the boy and his cat who inspired the story,Boo Loves Books.
