Tapper Watson and the River of Fire

What if the mythical River of Fire, from the Greek underworld, Hades, actually exists in space? And you're trapped in it? And what if a space pirate (who looks weirdly like your uncle) demands that you give him something called the Apple of Odysseus before you can go home again? It's 2037 and unlikely adventurer Tapper and his best friend Fern, are supposed to be living their best lives as interworld explorers with friends Argo, Belladonna, Scylla and Charybdis. Family ties and friendships are stretched to breaking point, but when Tapper braves the fiery new river in space sub, The Boldly Goes, he finds himself somewhere strangely like the Earth town they have all been missing, only hotter.Nothing is quite as it seems.
