Broken Hearts: Like Mother, Like Daughter

As a retired lawmaker who advocated for health care reform, I witnessed the vast inequities in medical care and coverage that I and my mother received. The realization that my coverage was far more comprehensive inspired me to write this book. I aim to highlight these inequities that impact many seniors who, sadly, lack the support networks that my family was able to provide for our mother. I hope this book shows how to cultivate a healthy lifestyle to spare yourself and your loved ones from the ravages of America’s top cause of death: heart disease.
