This is a must-read!

If you're going to read Patrick Morgan's Viaticum, make sure that you have cleared your schedule. Because once you start reading, you will not be able to put it down. It's easy to get completely engrossed in this book. Not only do you lose yourself in it, but you end up wanting more. As if the book itself is as intoxicating and addictive as the drug it was named after. This is a book of many layers. Patrick Morgan's use of symbolism is masterly. Viaticum is nuanced and complex - yet full of clarity. The age of convenience is skillfully, and modernly, portrayed. How much are we willing to sacrifice for convenience and modern luxury? Our privacy? Our integrity? Our mind? We are faced with good versus evil, control versus free will, perception versus the truth - in a sense also man versus nature. Power in the hands of good is one thing. Power in the hands of evil something else entirely. How often do we know who, or what, we're giving away our power to? And how often do we discard "the signals" that came before? I sincerely loved this book. Read it!
