After revealing that the president-elect and the CIA director had been compromised by Russia in The Swamp, Dr. Elizabeth Petrov returns to a mixed reception. With the deployment taking place in Moscow, Elizabeth is eager to join the team.In Moscow, Elizabeth is reunited with a long-lost friend and lover who is now working undercover for the Company as well. When Elizabeth learns that her friend has been taken into custody and is being tortured by the Russian GRU, she must mount an unsanctioned rescue, relying on meticulous planning, brute force, and luck. The Sewer: The CIA's Pipeline into the Kremlin is the second volume in the Elizabeth Petrov Thriller series, created by Jeff Grant. Grant served for 21 years at the CIA and the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO). While at the CIA, Grant worked at the highest levels of technological intelligence gathering. After leaving government service, Grant worked in the private sector, most recently as the VP/General Manager of Space Systems at Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems. Jason Baum's love of espionage thrillers and a career in writing and marketing across high-tech, the NFL, and television provided a perfect counterpoint to Jeff's background and love of storytelling.
