Abdelhamid H. Elgazzar, MD, FCAP, is a Visiting Professor, Department of Nuclear Medicine at National Cancer Institute, Cairo University. He graduated in 1973 from the School of Medicine, University of Cairo, Egypt and trained in Clinical and Anatomic Pathology at the University of Kansas School of Medicine-Wichita and in Nuclear Medicine at the University of Cincinnati School of Medicine. He is board certified by the American Board of Pathology (Anatomic and Clinical) and the American Board of Nuclear Medicine. Dr. Elgazzar is a fellow of the College of American Pathologists. He has served as an Associate Professor at the University of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Mount Sinai School of Medicine, New York, as Chief of Nuclear Medicine at Tufts-New England Medical Center, Boston, MA and professor and chairman, department of Nuclear Medicine, Kuwait University. He has received awards from several international professional organizations. He has edited or authored 15 books and over 150 peer-reviewed papers. He serves as a reviewer for various peer-reviewed medical journals worldwide. Ismet Sarikaya, MD, ABNM, is a Professor and Chair of the Department of Nuclear Medicine at Kirklareli University Faculty of Medicine in Turkey. She graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Medicine in Ankara, Turkey in 1990. She completed her Nuclear Medicine residencies at University of Maryland and Uludag University. She completed her PET/CT and Nuclear Oncology fellowship at Memorial-Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. She is board certified by American Board of Nuclear Medicine. She worked at various Universities including Ohio State University, Georgetown University, Baskent University, and Kuwait University. She is a reviewer and in Editorial Board of an International Journal. She authored 80 articles, 1 book and 4 book chapters.
