Preserving Modernism

Postwar Modernism’s most defining element – the glass and aluminum curtain wall – is also its greatest vulnerability. Designed as thin, industrialized systems, these systems now face failure and potential demolition due to aging materials, poor performance, obsolescence, and rising environmental demands.
