Nexus Analysis in Applied Linguistics

Nexus analysis is a transdisciplinary framework used to capture the complexity of language and social action. This edited volume is the first to focus exclusively on nexus analysis and applied linguistics. The authors demonstrate the breadth, depth and flexibility of nexus analysis in chapters that use nexus analysis or its elements (historical body, interaction order, discourses in place) for an in-depth understanding of language in action. The contributions cluster around three distinct themes: complexity, materiality and context, and researcher positionality. The gathering of these different perspectives aims to inspire further action-oriented applied language studies.
