Weisheit und Prophetie im Kontext des Zweiten Tempels

Die Zeit nach dem babylonischen Exil wurde in den letzten 20 Jahren so grundlegend neu bewertet wie kaum eine andere Epoche des antiken Israel. Mittels neuer methodischer Ansatze zur Interpretation der prophetischen und weisheitlichen Literatur dieser Epoche leistet der Band einen innovativen Forschungsbeitrag. Ein zentrales Anliegen der Herausgeber ist die Zusammenfuhrung von Themen und Texten, die zu jener Zeit etwa gleichzeitig prasent waren, heute jedoch oft isoliert betrachtet werden. Der Band vereint Beitrage zu spaten prophetischen Schriften wie Joel und Maleachi, nachexilischen Fortschreibungen, etwa in Jesaja und Nahum, sowie zu jungen Weisheitsschriften wie Kohelet und Jesus Sirach - einschlielich ihrer Rezeption in Qumran und neutestamentlichen Schriften. Er ladt zur vertieften Auseinandersetzung mit der nachexilischen Literatur ein und fordert das Verstandnis der biblischen Schriften in ihrem historischen Kontext. [Wisdom and Prophecy in the Context of the Second Temple]More than any other period of ancient Israel's history, the one following the Babylonian Exile has undergone a fundamental re-evaluation over the past 20 years. Applying new methodological approaches to the interpretation of the prophetic and sapiential literature of this period, the present volume provides an innovative contribution to research. In line with a major aim of the editors', it brings together themes and texts that were approximately contemporaneous at that period but are often regarded separately today. The volume comprises articles about late prophetic scriptures such as Joel and Malachi, post-exilic Fortschreibungen, as found in Isaiah and Nahum, and late wisdom literature such as Qohelet and Ben Sira including their reception in Qumran and the New Testament. It invites readers to study in depth post-exilic literature and enhances the understanding of the biblical scriptures in their context.
