Fundamental Physics — Heisenberg and Beyond

This book serves a double purpose. The first part presents two essays commemorating Werner Heisenberg's 100th birthday. They are completed by a short and nicely illustrated biographical note in the appendix. In the second part the reader will find a set of articles devoted to important developments in central areas of research. The authors are outstanding scientists who try to present their ideas to a large community of physicists.
