It provides a snapshot of the manifold research ideas that have been deeply in?uenced by Ugo's work. In a sense the book gives a vantage point from which to foresee further developments to come: by Ugo himself, and by many other people encouraged and stimulated by his friendship and example. The volume consists of seven sections, six of which are dedicated to the main research areas to which Ugo has contributed. Each of these six sections starts with a contribution by one of Ugo's closer collaborators providing an account of Ugo's contribution to the area and brie?y describing the papers in the section.
