The Harzer Grenzweg means 75 km of unspoilt nature in the form of flowery meadows, enchanted forests and babbling brooks along the former German-German border. The varied, sometimes challenging route leads along quiet border paths and the former patrol route from the Rhoden border tower in the north to the borderland museum in Tettenborn near Walkenried in the south. It runs along the Eckertalsperre, over the Brocken at 1,141 m above sea level. NN, past Braunlage and Hohegeiss.
