TREEgame

What is it like to play a tree? This volume includes an asymmetrical experimental board game for four players, in which participants take on the roles of industrialist, citizens, woods, or lake. But beware – the roles will change, and so will your perspective! The contributions explore the game, its context, and the ludic method – an experimental approach developed by artist Margarete Jahrmann that uses the power of play to investigate contemporary social and political dynamics. Situated at the intersection of art, game design, and cultural analysis, TREEgame invites readers to playfully explore their relationship with the natural world.
