Deutsche Identitaten

Der Band untersucht literarische Identitatskonstruktionen in der deutschsprachigen Gegenwartsliteratur seit 1989. Vor dem Hintergrund historischer Zasuren wie Wiedervereinigung, Migration und globaler Krisen analysieren die Beitrage verschiedene Identitatsformen: deutsche, judisch-deutsche, migrantische und postmigrantische, transkulturelle sowie maritime Identitaten. Als Reflexionsmedium gesellschaftlicher Transformationen fungiert Literatur dabei als privilegierter Raum fur die Verhandlung komplexer Identitatsprozesse. Durch interdisziplinare Ansatze erforschen die Studien Bruche, Relationen und Erinnerungen als zentrale Dimensionen der Identitatsbildung und verstehen literarische Texte als Archiv kollektiver kultureller Erfahrungen. This volume examines literary identity constructions in German-language contemporary literature since 1989. Against the backdrop of historical caesuras such as reunification, migration, and global crises, the contributions analyze various forms of identity: German, Jewish-German, migrant and post-migrant, transcultural, and maritime identities. As a medium for reflecting societal transformations, literature functions as a privileged space for negotiating complex identity processes. Through interdisciplinary approaches, the studies explore ruptures, relations, and memories as central dimensions of identity formation and understand literary texts as an archive of collective cultural experiences.
