Two Ways of Facing Life

Two young men set out in the same town — Joey Girling, whose little sister thinks him a Mr. Greatheart, and Neville Adams, with a new house and friends to entertain — and meet what life brings them in two different ways. A moral tale of the kind the religious publishers issued by the thousand, done with more care than most. Fifty-six plates, from Canaletto''s Rome to George Clausen''s field and gate, set the two young men''s choices against the wide world they must meet.
