Journey in Other Worlds

A voyage to Jupiter and Saturn in the year 2000, with the earth's axis straightened out by engineering and the spirits of the dead waiting on the further planet. Astor wrote it in 1894; he built the Astoria hotel, invented a bicycle brake and a turbine engine, and went down with the Titanic. This edition is bound with a gallery of 50 plates, among them paintings by Edvard Munch, Paul Cezanne and Tivadar Csontvary Kosztka, alongside 8 restored and coloured illustrations.
