Under Dewey at Manila

A boy shipped as a castaway ends up aboard the American squadron at Manila Bay in 1898. Stratemeyer wrote the book within months of the battle and later founded the syndicate that produced the Rover Boys, Tom Swift, the Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew. This edition adds a gallery of 46 plates of painting by Edvard Munch, Joseph Heard, Ivan Aivazovsky and Julius Prommel, alongside 7 restored and coloured illustrations.
