Eye of Istar

Complete and unabridged, with 53 full-page plates by Jean-Leon Gerome, Eugene Delacroix and David Roberts. An Englishman crosses the Sahara to a hidden kingdom in search of a talisman and a woman who wears it. Le Queux wrote these desert romances between his spy scares and put real caravan routes into them. This edition adds a gallery of 53 plates after David Roberts, Eugene Delacroix and others, plus six illustrations restored and coloured for this volume.
