Tangled Tale

Ten puzzle stories published monthly in a magazine, each with a mathematical problem hidden inside a piece of nonsense, and the author's own tart replies to the readers who got them wrong. Carroll was a mathematics lecturer at Christ Church and enjoyed the answers more than the questions. This edition binds in a gallery of 46 plates after Rippingille, Reimer, Frith and De Vos, and restores and colours all eight of the original illustrations.
