Pauper of Park Lane

A rich man dies in a Mayfair house with nothing in his pockets, and the fortune he was known to have has gone somewhere. Le Queux built his plots out of the London he covered as a reporter, and the geography is exact. This edition adds fifty-seven plates of painting bound with the text, among them works by Walter Sickert, Harold Gilman and Spencer Gore, alongside two restored and coloured illustrations.
