Selected for the CBC’s 2023 April Hot Off The Press Reading List"Kids will enjoy peeking at what’s underneath in this lift-the-flap board book. It’s a fun take on the language of plants, making it easy for children to understand. It was really cute!" —Youth Services Book ReviewThis is such an interesting book, and I loved the lift-the-flap designs. There are funny little dialogue bubbles as if the plants are talking, and it’s so cute! Each page has a paragraph or two about how plants develop these survival strategies. —Luminous Libro"Kids will enjoy peeking at what’s underneath in this lift-the-flap board book. Cute illustrations show plants and insects talking while the text explains how they communicate. It’s a fun take on the language of plants, making it easy for children to understand." —Vicky Tandy, Athol Public Library"Certainly a unique way to show how plants “feed” off each other. This is a prime example of how society works too. Great book for older kids to further understand how indoor and outdoor vegetation operate." —Goodreads/Netgalley-Librarian"You will never look at plants the same way after reading this book! And young readers will love the humorous illustrations and the open-and-shut flaps throughout the book." —All Done Monkey"How Plants Talk is an interactive lift-the-flap story that offers young readers a look at how plants communicate without words. Find out just how a plant faces its fears, and even how it tells other plants that danger is near. There's so much to learn from this one!" —Fun Reads for Kids, IG
