Commonwealth Journey

India's performance at the Commonwealth Games 2006 calls for a celebration. With brilliant imagery that goes into making history and about 120 thrilling snapshots, this remarkable book offers fun, tension and ring-side action. It is rarer still to find a book that gives you a tiny peek into the winning secrets of the Indian players, like how an e-mail helped India win table-tennis, how a gun malfunction at the last minute sealed the fate of the game, how a split second of forgetfulness to lock a gun helped an Indian player win, how a Bollywood star of yesteryears inspired a boxer to punch his way into victory for India -- these rarest of the rare moments are a tribute to the Indian players. Their hopes, aspirations and remarkable achievements along the Commonwealth journey evoke all the imagery that goes into making indelible history and snapshots for posterity.
