Ateya (Senior Member, IEEE) received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in electrical engineering from Zagazig University, Egypt, in 2010 and 2014, respectively, and his Ph.D. degree from the Saint-Petersburg State University of Telecommunications, Russia, in 2019. He is currently an Assistant Professor at the Department of Electronics and Communications Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Zagazig University. He has coauthored more than 50 publications in high ranked journals. His current research interests include machine learning applications in communication networks, 5G/6G communications, the Internet of Things, tactile internet and its standardization, and vehicular communications. He is a member of many scientific communities and ACM Prof. Member.
