Hans C. Boas, Ph.D. (2000), The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, is the Raymond Dickson, Alton C. Allen, and Dillon Anderson Centennial Professor in the Departments of Germanic Studies and Linguistics at the University of Texas at Austin. His research focuses on syntax, semantics, computational lexicography, language variation, language contact, and language documentation.Marc Pierce, Ph.D. (2002), University of Michigan, is Associate Professor of Germanic Studies at the University of Texas at Austin. His main research interests are historical linguistics, the history of linguistics, Germanic linguistics, language contact, and phonology.
