Yu Keping, Ph.D. (1988) in Political Science, Peking University, is University Chair Professor & Director of PKU Research Center for Chinese Politics. He has published extensively on political philosophy and China's political reform. His publications include Democracy Is a Good Thing (Brookings Institute Press, 2008).
"There is no question that Yu has curated a rich collection of essays of value to scholars focused on the topic of China and global governance, as well as to those needing a handy introduction to leading Chinese scholars’ writings on global governance. It offers a valuable sample of the debates among China’s policy-oriented elite in the lead up to Xi Jinping’s declaration at the Nineteenth Party Congress in 2017 that China would 'take an active part in reforming and developing the global governance system.'” – Carla P. Freeman, The China Quarterly 251 (September 2022)
