The Sea Wolf

Humphrey van Weyden, a literary critic, finds himself shipwrecked and rescued by a sealing schooner commanded by the enigmatic and brutal Captain Wolf Larsen. Forced to adapt to life at sea under Larsen's tyrannical rule, van Weyden must toughen up to earn the respect of the crew. JACK LONDON [1876-1916] was an American author who, during his short life, wrote a total of 49 novels and numerous short stories. Before his debut, he had been a hobo, sailor, and gold prospector. The novels Martin Eden, The Iron Heel, and The Sea-Wolf were burned during the book burnings around Nazi Germany in 1933.
