In 1980s suburban Stockholm, Jim Jonsson struggles to make sense of ever-shifting allegiances in the schoolyard and the different kinds of silences that live inside his home. Mostly, he struggles to understand the wildness inside him and the longing to belong. Then there is the mysterious donkey scream that follows him. Sometimes it's a burden, sometimes a strange source of power, but always a reminder of that one thing that can never be escaped.
