Its title roughly translated as “Even This”, this novel is set against the background of contemporary Eritrean situation in which the youth go through untold dehumanisation. It questions the power-hungry military officers’ abuse of power, the smugglers inhumanity, the youth’s naivety and many other burning Eritrean contemporary social issues. Being set in Eritrea, the Sudan, the Sahara and Sinai Deserts, Israel, and Italy, the narrative presents realistic characters who can be identified clearly.
