In this Annual book, we are fortunate to have a number of authoritative experts on select invited topics/ subjects of interest in the field of Renewable Energy Education. Ever since Solar Energy Centre (SEC) and now National Institute of Solar Energy (NISE) started its own training, research, outdoor and indoor testing of both solar thermal and photovoltaic modules and systems in India, serious attempts were made both at MNRE and NISE level to understand and formulate the role of Solar Energy in the context of overall energy scenario in the country. Discussions in different forums both in India and abroad in developing and developed countries at various levels in government, Ministries, Scientific Institutions, Industries, developers and Universities, it became apparent to have a latest of the art literature on annual basis, a review state of the art book, giving a balanced and upto-date material in the field of Solar Energy dealing both fundamentals and applications. The aim of this Annual is to highlight the importance of the requirement which may serve the interest of professional workers in the field as well as those working in industries and government organizations and those of serious scientists and students at university level both at the graduate or advanced undergraduate level. The present volume is an attempt to provide information and fill the gap between demand and supply in the field of Skill development in Renewable Energy.
