A Sanskrit Reader is a critical study of Sanskrit literature from a linguistic perspective. Selected works such as Mahabharata, Hitopadesha, Kathasaritsagara, Dharmasastra, Rigveda, Maitrayani, Grihasutras, and Brahmanas are taken by the author for literary assessment. Stories from the said texts are explained with vocabulary tables and commentary offered with translation for assessing its literature.
