Michael Pawson, who now resides in Australia, lived and worked in Jamaica in the 1970s.David Buisseret is Garrett Professor of History at the University of Texas at Arlington. He has taught at a variety of institutions, including the University of the West Indies, Jamaica, from 1964 to 1980, and served as editor of the Jamaican Historical Review and is a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society.
