Sandals of the Gospel of Peace

Join Timmy as he discovers the next piece of the Armor of God — the Sandals of the Gospel of Peace! After slipping in the mud on a rainy walk to the park, Timmy and Dad sit by the stream with hot cocoa and open Ephesians 6. Dad explains that Roman sandals gave a soldier grip to stand firm and keep moving. The gospel of peace does the same for our hearts. Jesus made peace with God at the cross. When we believe, we are no longer enemies. We become God's kids forever. That peace also guards our hearts each day and gives us ready feet to share the good news.Dad then tells the story of Philip, who trusted God on a lonely desert road and helped an Ethiopian official understand Isaiah's promise of the Savior. When the official believed in Jesus, he received peace with God.From that day on, Timmy laces up the sandals of peace — ready to stand firm, walk through life's storms, and tell others that Jesus died for them.Perfect for children ages 7–12, The Sandals of the Gospel of Peace teaches kids the difference between the world's shaky peace and God's forever peace, and how to stand firm and share the good news every day. Includes a family-friendly discussion section and memory verses. Part of the Armor of God series.
