The Book of Grease is a history of the Universe tracing its origin from the emergence of the divine eternal lubricant, Grease. The central prophetic figure who personifies evolution into actuality is the Anointed Fryer, who became known to humanity in the personage of Frank. The narrative traces the evolution of belief systems, starting with the initial devotion of the Greasites to the Fryer's heat and sizzle, followed by schisms introduced by the Adversarial Tobacconist who promoted smoke and ash. Later successive philosophical movements developed, including the Reheaters who focus on reviving old warmth, the practical Order of the Greasy Spoon, and the emergence of global consciousness through thermal resonance (Oscillarium) and its subsequent thermal theories, such as Cryosophy and Panthermism. The universe reaches its final state as the Equithermal Horizon, where existence becomes a balanced, self-aware Choral Dream, culminating in the idea that the cosmos is a continuous culinary act, finding meaning through taste and flavour balance.
