Shield of Faith

Join Timmy and his little sister Ginny as they discover the next piece of the Armor of God — the Shield of Faith! One cozy night they build a sheet-fort in the living room, and Timmy shares what Dad taught him. A Roman soldier's huge scutum stopped flaming arrows. Faith in Jesus does the same for our hearts. Faith is not just hoping something works. It is trusting Jesus because of who He is and what He has done for us.That night Ginny has a nightmare, and in her dream Jesus teaches her five Hebrew word-pictures for faith. Then Timmy tells the story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who would not bow to a golden statue. God walked with them in the fire. From that night on, the kids raise their shields together: trust the One who never fails.Perfect for children ages 7–12, The Shield of Faith teaches kids the difference between wishful hope and real trust in Jesus, and how to stand firm when fears and lies fly. Includes a family-friendly discussion section and memory verses. Part of the Armor of God series.
