Ordinary to Extraordinary: How God Uses Ordinary People to Do Extraordinary Things

Scripture is full of people nobody expected God to use.A craftsman from the wrong tribe. Two midwives who defied Pharaoh. An elderly man who showed up at the worst possible moment. A slave who spoke when no one else would. A courier nobody noticed until Paul needed him. A man in a Roman prison who prayed until something moved.Ordinary to Extraordinary: How God Uses Ordinary People to Do Extraordinary Things is a nine-week devotional built around nine figures from both the Old and New Testaments, whose faithfulness quietly shaped the story of God's people. They are not the heroes you already know. That is exactly the point. Each week profiles one biblical character across seven daily readings, each including a Scripture passage, biblical teaching, and a closing prayer. Whether used for personal devotion or small group study, this nine-week format gives readers time to slow down, stay with one person's story, and ask what God might be saying through it to their own.Dr. Chris Len McCormick serves as Associate Pastor at Calvary Church in Maumee, Ohio, where he has taught the Bible for nearly a decade.
