Some worlds survive because no one knows they exist. After centuries of secrecy, the woodfolk choose to step beyond their boundaries and face a feudal, sorcerer-ruled world that barely understands them—and is quick to judge what it does not know. When violence erupts, their first contact with outsiders threatens their very existence. For Midnight, a deaf forest guardian powerful in magic but uncertain of himself, the danger is personal. To protect his people, he must navigate hostile courts and a world that rarely slows down enough for him to belong. An epic fantasy adventure and a tale of identity and courage, WOODFOLK is the first book in the Trials of Midnight series by Jennifer Ealey.
