Sit With Me

Zara loves everything about school—except the moment she carries her lunch tray into a room full of strangers. On Monday, she asks to sit at a table. On Tuesday, another. Table after table, the answer is the same: not today. Then a girl with curly red hair pats the empty chair beside her and says the two words that change everything: "e;Sit with me."e;From that single act of kindness, a lunch table transforms into a gathering of new friends—each one carrying a different food, a different story, and the same wish to belong. Together they learn that a smile, an invitation, or one empty chair can turn a lonely day into the start of a friendship.Sit With Me is a heartfelt picture book from the Zara & Friends collection, celebrating kindness, inclusion, and the everyday courage it takes to make room for someone new. Perfect for classrooms, libraries, and family bookshelves, this story reminds young readers that everyone deserves a place at the table.
