Eight months ago, Tessa, her older sister, vanished from the Mercer house without a trace. Now Maya is living under a false name in the same halls, watching the same family, hunting for the truth. But it's the children who find her first.Seven-year-old Milo and five-year-old June keep leaving drawings on her pillow. Drawings of a woman they've never met. Drawings of Tessa — inside the house. And with every drawing, the truth gets closer. And darker.A locked third floor. A hidden passage. A mother whose smile never reaches her eyes.Maya came to find her sister. She might not leave this house at all.
