Tora has no desire to take a human mate like many of the other retired Majaki warriors in Asemsa have. He doesn't trust humans in his territory and seldomly interacts with them or wears a translator to understand their harsh language. There's no room in his heart for trust or love, not after the horrors he's seen. But when a delivery takes him to the local human school, one look at the radiant teacher has his inner predator snarling, mine. When another male offers to accompany her on a hike to the frozen pink waterfalls, Tora nearly flings her over his shoulder and carries her away. Instead, he insists on taking her himself.Jasmine just wanted to bring a little Valentine's magic to her students. She didn't expect to be collecting heart-shaped ice from the waterfalls with a grumpy silver fox alien who can't understand her. He's silent, imposing, and looks at her with a hunger that makes her Valentine's Day desires go crazy. He might think Cupid's "e;arrow through the heart"e; is barbaric, but he's already been struck hard—and he's not letting her go.
