Tailspin - The Awakening

A snarky fantasy short story with dragons, magic, and one very opinionated tail.Jormandr, the last emerald dragon of the Cascades, is a legendary force of nature—at least, according to himself. He's got the hoard, the roar, and the ego to match. But when one too many tall tales push the boundaries of believability, something strange happens: his tail wakes up. And it has opinions.Suddenly saddled with a sentient appendage that's equal parts truth-teller and trickster, Jormandr must navigate not only the biting commentary of his own backside, but the schemes of a meddling young witch who may have cursed more than she bargained for. Between humiliating revelations, goblin thieves, sibling rivalries, and magical mishaps, the dragon and his tail must learn to work together—or risk losing everything they've (mostly) stolen. If you enjoy smart banter, grumpy dragons, reluctant friendships, and a dash of magical chaos, Tailspin: The Awakening is your next favorite short read.
