GLADIATORS

I have thrown out the rules with this creation. For this book is not just one thing. Yes, it is about memoirs, but it is also about history s stamp on ordinary people, selfexpressionthrough creative prose, self-development through reflective questionsand it is also an invitation to the reader to begin to draft, write and share theirexperiences within these pages. Within these pages, my struggle with Invisibility is influenced by my experience ofdisability. Whereas it was migration which exposed my grandparents to the threatof Alienation. Even though the details of our stories may differ to your own, the themes of ourlives are common to many. I hope that you will enjoy our journeys. And I invite you to write your story alongsideour stories. Together we will create a collection of writings about Invisibility, Alienation andResilience! And we will share the confidence and courage it takes to express ourinternal fighter, our inner Gladiator.
