For the Love of Minnie

Minnie Buford, an African American woman, finds herself pulled between the need for respectability and her love for James, who is white. They live in the Apple Hill area of Tennessee near Pulaski during a time when the Ku Klux Klan is instilling terror in the populace. Minnie's relationship with Henry, a man of African descent, proves to be as complicated as her affair with James.
