Detta är en bra bok för dig som vill börja återskapa medeltiden, men även ett utmärkt utbildningsmaterial inom dräkthistoria. Alla delar av dräkten tas upp och man får en överblick av de vanligaste plaggen och dräktdetaljerna. Det finns även förslag på fördjupningsmaterial för den som vill lära sig mer. Dräktskicket i norra Europa liknar under denna period till viss del Västeuropas moden men skiljer sig ganska markant från södra och östra Europa.
